About Intero
More than a move,
We help people feel at home
We are a people first relocation and integration company, helping international talent thrive and empowering companies to build inclusive, long lasting teams.
Why We Started Intero
Intero has been founded by people who have moved, adapted, and integrated across countries.
Intero exists to bridge the gap between relocation logistics and real life support.
We saw too many talented people, and their families, feel lost, unsupported, or leave altogether.
That’s why we created a solution that puts people first. We are here to make relocation easier, integration human, and retention real.
To provide personalized, high quality integration support that helps international talent and companies succeed together.

Marii’s Journey and How Intero Was Born
Intero was born from Marii's own life, not a business plan.
Over the past decade, Marii lived in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Estonia, and Finland. Each move brought new challenges: visa struggles, cultural confusion, isolation, and systems that were hard to navigate, even when she already had a job lined up.

Returning to Estonia, her home country, was unexpectedly one of the hardest transitions. And Finland, where she had spent much of her childhood, turned out to be the most difficult integration of all.
Through it all, one thing became clear: relocation is not just about logistics - it is about people, emotions, and the deep human need to belong. That is why Marii founded Intero, to offer the kind of support she never had.
Today, Intero walks with people and companies through the real, personal side of relocation and integration. With empathy, structure, and care. Because no one should have to figure it out alone.
And everyone deserves to feel like they belong.

In the United States, I arrived full of hope and fear.
I had never lived away from home with a foreign language.
The food was different. The culture was different. Everything was different. And yet… people were incredibly warm and welcoming. That experience taught me the power of community and kindness, how far just one helpful person can carry you.

In Australia, I met a new kind of confusion.
Navigating everyday systems was still overwhelming. I had no idea how the healthcare system worked or how to even find a doctor. I had to learn to drive on the other side of the road. But still, I found my people who supported and explained things to me. I adapted. Slowly, daily life began to make sense.

In New Zealand, things were harder.
I faced difficulty with finding accommodation, figuring out public transport, buying a car, and adapting to an unfamiliar work culture. It was a time of growth, but also frustration. It taught me that even when you are doing everything “right,” systems can still leave you behind.

Then I returned to Estonia and nothing could have prepared me for that.
Going back to your home country after being away for years is a strange experience. People expect you to slip right back in. But I had changed and so had Estonia. You are home, but not really. And that disconnection is rarely understood by others. From everything I have lived and researched, I can honestly say, reintegration can be even harder than relocation.

And then I moved to Finland and assumed it would be easy.
I had spent countless summers here growing up and expected it to feel familiar. Even though I had already landed a job before arriving it did not make the transition easier. It did not protect me from feeling socially and emotionally cut off from the society around me. The truth is, this has been the hardest place to integrate into. It was in Finland that I truly realized: even when you seem like you belong, the inner experience can be entirely different. And that is when Intero began to take shape.
